Nashville WalknBike Plan

Fairpointe led a broad, inclusive engagement effort to inform Nashville's prioritization of sidewalk and bikeway investments.

Client
Nashville Department of Transportation and Multimodal Infrastructure
Location
Nashville, Tennessee
Duration
August 2021 - February 2022

Project story

The team formed a diverse stakeholder committee and met people at community events, creating more ways for residents who are often left out of planning processes to participate.

Fairpointe developed, distributed, and analyzed a public survey that reached more than 3,000 people. The final plan reflected input from youth, seniors, transit riders, people with disabilities, commuters, and residents across Nashville.

Outcome

A community-driven update that gave NDOT clearer direction for prioritizing sidewalk and bikeway projects.
